HDPE Gratings

What is HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)?

HDPE (High Density Polyetyhlene); a kind of plastic which has high density. In contrast with other polyethylenes, it has high impact resistance, even it is heavier than LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) it shows more stiffness. Naturel view of HDPE is like beeswax, it is opaque. Its resistance to air and sun can be improved via additives as UV stabilizators.

What is HDPE and Steel Reinforced HDPE Grating?

HDPE gratings have very long life time. Even it is calculated that theorical life time is about 25 years, real performance is more than this value. Its stress crack and crack propagation resistances are high. It is lighter than steel, aluminium and wood, this provides easier transportation and assembling, what it means more economical cost. It stands resistance and performance characteristic because of its anti-corrosive resistance. It does not fragile under low temperatures. It is dirt-repellant, does not contain hazardous materials and easy to clean, does not strik, anti-bacterial, hygienic. For these reasons it is especially suitable for food industry. HDPE gratings with steel reinforcement provide high impact resistance.
