Choosing the Right Surface for Your Industrial Flooring

At NA-ME, we engineer our Composite (FRP) Gratings with a variety of surface textures to provide the safest and most efficient solution for your specific project requirements. For general use, our standard Concave Surface (meniscus) offers natural slip resistance through its curved profile. In environments where hygiene and aesthetics are priority, such as dry processing areas, our smooth Flat Surface ensures easy cleaning. For critical safety zones involving oil, water, or ice, we recommend our Gritted Surface options, which deliver maximum traction to eliminate slip-and-fall risks. Additionally, for applications requiring odor control or zero leakage—such as wastewater treatment plants—we produce Covered Gratings (laminated plate tops) in both single-sided and double-sided variations. We also offer Chequer Plate (diamond pattern) covered surfaces, combining heavy-duty durability with an industrial aesthetic for areas requiring extra strength and style.

Concave Surfaces FRP Grating

Concave Surface (Meniscus)

Standard production type. The naturally curved edges provide superior slip resistance without additional grit. Ideal for water treatment plants and general industrial walkways where cost-effectiveness and safety are needed.

Smooth Surface FRP Grating

Smooth Surface (Flat Top)

Smooth surface is smoothed off after surface finishing process.

Solid Surfaces FRP Grating

Solid Top / Covered Grating

Solid gratings are produced by combining one side smooth or sanded composite panel with smooth surface gratings.

Sanded Surfaces FRP Grating

Gritted / Sanded Surface (Anti-Slip)

Features a quartz grit coating embedded in the resin. Offers maximum friction and highest slip resistance (R13 rating). Perfect for oily environments, offshore platforms, and ramps.

Sandwich Panel Surfaces FRP Grating

Sandwich Panel Grating

Sandwich gratings which are solid on both sides.

Chequered Plate Surface

Chequered plate effected gratings are another solid variant.
