What is HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)?

HDPE (High Density Polyethylene); polyethylene plastic is a kind of high density. It is more durable and heavier than LDPE (low density polyethylene) but harder than other polythene. Its natural appearance is wax-like, dull and opaque. By using UV stabilizer additive, resistance to air and sun rays is increased.

What is HDPE and Steel Reinforced HDPE Grating?

HDPE (Polyethylene) Grids are resistant to aging. Life is calculated to be at least 25 years, but their actual performance exceeds this period. Tensile crack and crack propagation resistances are high. It is much lighter than steel, aluminum and wood and provides transportation and installation convenience.

HDPE (Polyethylene) Grids  protect their resistance and performance under all working conditions thanks to their anti-corrosive properties. Impact resistance is quite high, does not show brittleness at low temperatures. Dirt-repellent, non-toxic and easy to clean. It does not smell, does not produce bacteria, is hygienic, so it can be used easily in places where there will be contact with food. With the addition of steel reinforcement, grids resistant to heavy tonnages are produced.

Advantages:

  • Long service life
  • Anti-corrosive; rot-stainless
  • Paint-free
  • High impact resistance
  • Dirt-repellent, easy to clean
  • Does not produce bacteria, hygienic
  • Electrically insulating
  • Can be made resistant to heavy tonnages with the addition of steel reinforcement

Scope of application:

  • All kinds of industrial plants
  • food industry
  • Electricity distribution and transformer buildings
  • Treatment plants
  • Military and social facilities
  • Areas with high traffic
