FRP Composite Manhole Cover Products
Product DetailsNA-ME Endüstri FRP composite manhole covers provide a lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternative to traditional cast iron. Manufactured to EN 124, the range covers B125, C250 and D400 load classes. Standard products are Ø600 mm circular covers; custom products use square or rectangular geometry to suit the project opening. Load class, dimensions and geometry are coordinated with lifting handles, a manual-locking option and sealing details. Zero scrap value removes the scrap-theft incentive, while the gasket and lock support quiet, secure and sealed operation in the frame.
Product Definition and Standard
An FRP composite cover closes a manhole or infrastructure opening with a low-weight, corrosion-resistant product. Standard circular products combine a fixed Ø600 mm dimension with the required load class; custom products coordinate square or rectangular geometry with the required duty. The product range is manufactured to EN 124. Zero scrap value, optional manual locking and gasket/watertight details address theft, unauthorised access, traffic noise, odour and liquid transfer within the cover assembly.
Standard Ø600 mm Circular Covers
| Load class | Standard dimension | Load resistance | Lifting and locking |
|---|---|---|---|
| B125 | Ø600 mm | 12.5 t / 125 kN | 1 metal lifting handle on the cover; manual lock |
| C250 | Ø600 mm | 25 t / 250 kN | 1 metal lifting handle on the cover; manual lock |
| D400 | Ø600 mm | 40 t / 400 kN | 1 metal lifting handle on the cover; manual lock |
All three standard products use the same Ø600 mm geometry; the distinction is the load class and its corresponding 12.5 t/125 kN, 25 t/250 kN or 40 t/400 kN resistance. Verify the class against the traffic and site condition, not from the product name alone.

Custom Square and Rectangular Covers
| Custom-product decision | Available option |
|---|---|
| Geometry and size | Project-specific square or rectangular size to suit the opening |
| Load class | B125: 12.5 t / 125 kN; C250: 25 t / 250 kN; D400: 40 t / 400 kN |
| Lifting | One or more metal lifting handles according to the project |
| Locking | Project-specific optional secure manual locking system |
| Sealing | Optional watertight gasket/detail |
For a custom product, define the clear opening, outside dimension, frame/seating detail, load class and access method together. Multiple handles, manual locking or watertight sealing should be specified against the cover size and use case.

FRP composite cover vs metal cover
FRP composite covers offer low weight, corrosion resistance and no scrap value. The correct selection must still be based on the clear opening, load class, traffic conditions and operating environment.
